What Tectiv measures, what it never does, and how to get started — in plain language.
What is Tectiv?+
Tectiv is jobsite intelligence software for construction. It reads the feeds from cameras you already have and turns them into a daily picture of crew activity, idle time, and progress — reported in dollars, with no new hardware.
Do I need to install new cameras or hardware?+
No. Tectiv works with the IP cameras already on your site. If a camera can stream over the network by RTSP, it works with us — there is no proprietary hardware to buy or install.
Does Tectiv use facial recognition or track individual workers?+
No. We do not use facial recognition and we do not build per-worker scorecards. Our models detect people, equipment, and activity as anonymous counts — they never match faces against any identity database and never name individuals.
What does Tectiv actually measure?+
Crew counts over time, active versus idle time, activity by work zone, coverage gaps, and the estimated dollar cost of avoidable idle labor. Each day it produces a written report you can read and approve.
How fast can it be set up?+
Onboarding happens in the first week and is included at no extra cost: we connect your cameras, define your zones, and train your team. There is no setup fee.
How does pricing work?+
Solo is one site for $1,495/mo flat. Growth and Enterprise pay a per-site base plus a fraction of a percent of the labor and equipment spend the cameras monitor — quiet months meter lower on their own. Every engagement starts with the free two-week audit — your real idle number before any invoice exists.
What counts as a site?+
One contiguous jobsite under one project number. A 40-story tower is one site even if you have 12 cameras across 12 floors. Two buildings on opposite sides of the city are two sites.
What happens to my video footage?+
Raw video is deleted after processing unless you opt in to retention. The structured data we produce — counts, durations, zones — is always yours to export or delete. We never sell your data, license your footage, or share it with insurers.
What if I already have cameras installed?+
Even better. Tectiv connects to your existing IP cameras over RTSP — no rip-and-replace. If your cameras stream over a network, they work with us.
